We are in Echuca about 220 kms north of Melbourne. Echuca has a pop of about 12000 and is a town steeped in history of paddle steamers carting produce/passengers but mainly timber used for railway sleepers to open Australia in the 1800's
We took a paddle steamer ride for a hour, great trip, got the low down from the Captain it would have been a very hard life back in those days. The movie, "the rivers run" was filmed here about those times
I went to the Holden car museum here, simply amazing, the condition and low mileage on some of the vehicles is unbelievable
The weather, good yesterday but rain overnight and today, but we are warm and dry in the caravan
Tomorrow will move off towards Brokenhill, first to Swanhill and then Mildura. will start to get warmer and dryer!!
Hope you are all well
